After a long hiatuses I have returned to the SCA. And I have had to find a new armor kit as my old had been donated to my old canton wen I moved. As I now have 3 kids and a wife (who wants to fight too) I have to find/build armor on a budget and with minimal tools. To this end I will document my trek as to make others behind me easer.

Now armor on a budget is the goal but I needs to protect, look at least passable, and not need to be replaced every other war.

I have found some excellent armorers on the web who have good prices as I add the pieces to my kit or my wifes I will update how they work out for me.

The fist sight I used was http://bokalosarmoury.com/body.htm. I purchased a pair of half gauntlets and

a simple gorget. They are well made and very inexpensive.

I purchased a new Helm from http://www.ashcraftbaker.com/ Ashcraft/Baker has a good selection at very low prices. I will tell you how it performs as the year goes on.

Last I orders new spalder set and a full set or knee and elbow cops from http://roughfromthehammer.com/ the Vulcan Forge has unbeatable prices on basic milled steel pieces.

But mostly I will be focusing on easily made not too ugly low cost armor.
